Our client is a globally recognised FMCG company responsible for a number of hugely popular international products. As a successful company our client understands the need to continually develop and improve every aspect of their organisation. As a result of internal movement our client is looking to recruit a high potential Category Manager to be responsible for the development and maintenance of business relations with a number of key customers.
The role is all about further building relationships with two key customers and ensuring that our clients brands win at point of purchase in terms of range, space etc. You’ll lead and develop a customer engagement and category development programme tailored for theses customers and as such you will be working with senior category managers to develop ongoing customer specific tactics based on specific category performance and priorities for each client. Your influential role means you will be an expert in customers categories and customer specific knowledge and will use this insight in conjunction with senior category managers to shape the customers categories. You will also monitor category, customer and branded performance in relevant categories in order to identify ongoing trends, whether positive or negative and through doing so act as ‘early warning radar’, highlighting potential issues for customers and recommending corrective action.
Our client is in the market for an individual early on in their career who has proven success within category management and is looking to take that next step up. The successful individual must have proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels coupled with the commercial awareness and analytical thinking necessary to develop strategic plans and deliver agreed sales target.
