Our client is seeking an exceptional National Account Manager, an individual who will immediately take over the running of some fast growing national accounts with a focus on e-commerce and dotcom. You’ll be working with the Head of Sales to develop and hit ambitious sales targets and help bring to life the brand plans online and in-store.
As well as maintaining exceptional levels of customer service and support, you’ll be expected to bring new accounts to the business, creating joint strategic plans for each, and work closely with the Head of Sales and the wider team in executing initiatives and subsequent launches.
You’ll be responsible for forecasting and delivering insight so as to develop fresh, new strategies to fully maximise sales and profit within each retailer, increase distribution and drive the growth of the brand with NPD and more availability.
You’ll capture new business, sell in the products, agree terms and engage the retailer in their new business relationship. You’ll drive category growth to every customer you work with by consulting on space, shelf positioning, ranging, promotions with an understanding and focus on the unique shopper types in each channel. You’ll work closely with the marketing team on creating innovative in-store commercial plans, with supportive marketing to drive growth to exceed targets every quarter.
Through your influence, our clients products will be considered the go to brand on all matters within the category and will accordingly be on the shelves of over 80% of the potential retailers who operate within this category in the UK and Ireland by the end of 2017.
The successful individual will be skilled in the joint arts of sales and marketing, with an ability to take the story of the brand, tell it effectively to the retailer, come up with innovative and fun opportunities and then implement them.
We are looking for the for the following skills and experience
- Either educated to degree level or equivalent level of work experience
- Demonstrable experience of generating sales and managing accounts in an FMCG context with major national retailers especially online
- Exceptional presentation skills both written and verbal
- Ambitious, personable, passionate about sales
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills
- Skilled at winning ‘hearts and minds’ both within a team/company and externally with clients/customers
